Don't forget to subscribe and like the video.. :D

The video has been taken last December 1, 2018 at the College of Theology. I did not make it to teach Sabbath School at PIC because there is a special event and a lot of people attended.

The video includes the narratives on the preparation the day before the actual teaching, the actual teaching and activity, clips of the reflection of the participants, summary of the event and some photos of the evaluation, quiz and attendance sheet.

The participants of the Sabbath School teaching
Most of the student got higher score on our 10 item quiz
because we have review first before we took the quiz and sharing and reflection has been done prior to the quiz.

It helps them to remember the things we discuss a while ago and the retention of the information is high because of the application of the new acquired information.

9 out of 11 students got perfect in our short quiz. It shows that they really understood the lesson.

Evaluation was given after the over all teaching.  I requested them to stay for 2-3 minutes to answer the Evaluation form for further improvement the next time I teach them.

8 out of 11 students Strongly agree that  the teacher is well-organized and prepare for class. Only 3 of them answered agree

most of the comments are positive and they give praise to the teacher and show their appreciation.

The attendance sheet was given to them while the discussion is on-going as it was reflected in the lesson plan, after the prayer it should be introduce to the student.

Only 11 person participated the Sabbath School Lesson study, because it was around 3:00 pm and suppose to be they are doing AY program but I insisted to teach them SS Lesson.

Good thing, they participated.

REFLECTION:

The Principles of Teaching helps me to broaden my perspective in teaching.  It helps me in many ways like, discipline in doing your homework on time, in submitting your homework with quality and not only just to pass the grade but also with comprehension.

Attending the class on time is very challenging, because it was so early in the morning.  This subject matter helps me also to have a better time management and time matrix pattern to follow and do not delay anythings on schedule.

Inside the class, I learn a lot of principles that enable me to appreciate teaching more.  I started to erase the wrong thinking about being a teacher and the teaching profession.  I started to understand the importance of this work and modify my behavior on how to look at teaching ministry.

After knowing all of the teaching principles, classroom management, and so on.  I realize that teaching is not just a profession but it is a ministry. A great work that changes the future not only with the student but in a wider point of view.

I really learn how to make objectives, although  I need to practice more but, I can say that, I know how to do it. Lesson plan making is really challenging because of so much conflict of requirements with other requirements. But after doing and successfully finishing everything. I feels so nice to know how to do the lesson plan.

Furthermore, in the actual teaching it was really great.  Teaching them while thinking how to apply the theories you learn inside the class is really nice.  I started to love teaching even though I am not a Education major.

Thank you for the a great semester with this course. Kodos to all teachers! :D
Reflection time after the activity

It was a blessing, specially for me because been a sabbath school teacher is not just a matter of teaching, it is so much more than this, it is learning and be connect with God. I learned a lot on those lessons and I was also able to see how far we are from God when we don´t have time for him.

In most cases, such as the moon or a mirror, the work of reflection isn’t work at all. The moon is just a satellite hanging out around a planet—in the right spot at the right time. Some say, “The moon is beautiful tonight!” The moon is beautiful every night, but it is the light of the sun that makes the moon even noticeable.

Is that the way it is with you? Or maybe reflecting God’s goodness is a lot like being a mirror. While some of us may be dusty or dirty, we have the potential to reflect Christ to others. What will that reflection be like? Our world has clouded up and obscured a clear picture of what God is like. God is ultimately calling on you and me to be the reflection of Him other people can see.

Graham Tomlin, in his book The Power of the Cross: Theology and the Death of Christ in Paul, Luther and Pascal, says that, “The unity of the church is grounded not just in Christ, but in Christ crucified for them.

Christ’s death for them places them in a relationship of belonging and interdependence to him and to each other.” Ellen G. White says, “Unity with Christ establishes a bond of unity with one another. This unity is the most convincing proof to the world of the majesty and virtue of Christ, and of His power to take away sin.

Handling these people wasn’t really hard for me, since I know all of them. And since then, I have always wanted to help them in academics and in spiritual.  Before they do not want to go to school and they do not want to go to church but instead hangout and do worldly things. That’s when I realized I needed to pray for them.

They needed some guidance. They needed God. So started talking about them and sharing my experiences on how God changed my life and how He is always there to love me and forgive me despite of everything that I have done. I also told them about how important it is to go to school.

I started praying and praying. Until one day one of them told me that he wants to go back to school and study criminology. The other one wants to pursue her dream to become a doctor. I was so happy that God answered my prayer. The hardest part about handling them is doing my lesson planning on how to make sure that they will be interested and will get some lessons from it. With the help and guidance of my professor and my God, I was able to teach them lessons properly. And I know that it did not only help me, but I know it helped them.

I am so blessed that I get the chance to learn these things not only for my grade but because I know this will help me a lot in the future. I am very sure I will share this to my students.

I want to say thank you for our very own teacher Sir Esguerra. Who help all of us and guided us in our journey.  And also to our Father God who gave me the strength and wisdom to do my requirements. We will surely put this in our heart.

The lesson I learned from this is ,do it not for the sake of grades. But because you want to learn and you want to help.  It is not only effective but it is very satisfying. Seeing the students learn and enjoying the activities that was given.

This is not the end. But only the beginning.

Hello Principles of Teachings 2!!! <3

Some may used it for the business and personal communication with friends and family.

But in some way, people who experience depression can used the web to hurt people and be able to invade each person's privacy.  One of the ABC TV show segment called "Real State Roulette: ABC 2020"featured the episode: Couple lives in fear after buying new house.

Each week, different things happen.  Janice found out that her picture is in the internet asking somebody to have good time with her when her husband is around.  But it was Cathy Row doing the exchange of emails and conversation in lame.

Cathy Row, grab the opportunity of many occasions to destroy the new couple lives in the house, so they move out and have the house herself and wont let go of the house.

Because of this, couple decided to ask for help of the authority. They traced the source of the email and found out that they been a victim invasion of privacy and cyber crime attacks

When the authority learn about the situation of Cathy Row, they give her a 1 year home confinement and 5 years of probation.  And with legal proceedings, she said sorry to the couple and promise not to harm them anymore.

In the  Cathy Row, buy new house 1 mile away to the house of Janice and Jerry.  She lost her job and have the full responsibility to her daughter with hundreds of medical appointment that makes her depressed, also she have restless night and lack of sleep that cause him to do the lawful things.

Week Of Prayer (WOP2017): 10th Session

The Week of Prayer (WOP2017) this year was really great in overall production, starting from the first session on Monday morning until the culmination on Sabbath Service. But on Friday, being the last session of the week, was the most busy session of all.

All of the participants are gathered already for the preparation of the last session of the week that will start within a few minutes.  Friday afternoon session started the singing inspiration at exactly 7:30pm. It was led by song leaders JC Danauto, Neil Austria, and James Ajoc as music committee head of the Week of Prayer (WOP2017).

After the Opening Prayer rendered by Sweet Ougis, the College of Arts and Humanities (CAH) participated the Week of Prayer (WOP2017) by singing the song "Contemplation on Psalms 8", served as the Musical Offering before the teleprompter give time to the speaker.

The speaker was Erwin Geronimo, a third year AB Theology student, enter the center of the stage after the musical offering. The speaker talks about trusting in God: a complete surrender and trust that will lead you to solve the problem you are facing in your daily life.

"It was my first time to speak in front of many people..." said Erwin, AB Theology student

While the speaker is having a hard time expressing his words on making an appeal, the people responded positively! Few of the students went to the front to accept the call for baptism of the Week of Prayer.

(Video to be upload here... please stay tune)

The overall program was amazing according to the congregation and they are all blessed all throughout this Week of Prayer.

Day of Protest: Declaration of Duterte

(Educational Purposes only!)

Controversy about Martial Law has been circulated in the media for many months already, and issues over the people that the President Duterte will sooner declare another martial law in his term.

Lately this month, people were again alarmed of the declaration that President Duterte has been announcing to the public.

“September 21 is not a holiday. I have declared it as a “Day of Protest.” Lahat ng gustong mag-protesta laban sa gobyerno, laban sa pulis, sa military o lahat, magbabaan kayo diyan, mag-protesta kami (All those who want to protest against the government, against the police, military or everyone. You all come down and conduct a protest action),” Duterte told reporters during a chance interview after his visit to the wake of a slain policeman in Caloocan City. (http://www.interaksyon.com/duterte-says-sept-21-is-a-day-of-protest-but-no-official-palace-advisory-yet-on-class-work-suspension/)

He said that September 21 will be the free day to protest for those who want,  whatever your stand will be.  You may join the 1 day allocated free protest day.  The police officers will not banned you to do protest but make sure you will not override the law.

So the question here, is everybody knows about this matter? or are they aware of what will happen tomorrow?

Here are some insight from the public. (please watch the video)

"Para sakin, hindi (hindi agree na mayroong 1 day protest) kasi "martial law" yung nakikita ko sa balita, ang saklap nong mga nanyayari, thou mayrong mga positive side, more on kasi makikita natin ay ang negative side" said Imarie Machete, BSEd English student of Adventist University of the Philippines.

"Actually napakingan ko sya sa TV,  na walang pasok, hindi ko alam kong bakit tapos nong napakingan ko, parang may rally, pwde mag rally. Pero hindi ko alam kong about saan ang rally, kaya naguluhan ako..." said Imarie Machete, BSEd English student of Adventist University of the Philippines.

"Alam ko (ang issue about dito), pero hindi ko alam kong ano ang "deniclare" said Fred, BS Accountancy student of Adventist University of the Philippines.

"Hindi naman sa ina-ano ko kung desisyon ng ating Presidente, pero disagree ako dun" said John Mark Eupalao, BS Management student of Adventist University of the Philippines.

Many people we asked about this matter does not have enough information about the declaration of President Duterte.  One of the AUP faculty said that, she do not care about the declaration of free protest day, because she is not affected.

Moreover, most of the students of the Adventist University of the Philippines do not want to get involve about this issue, as long as they live peacefully they are all okey!
